Brian H. Early Foundation

Our deepest thanks to the Early Family for donating $50,000 to HOSTS for HOSPITALS from the proceeds of the 1st Annual Brian H. Early Foundation Golf Event, which took place June, 2011!

The Brian H. Early Foundation was founded by his family to pay tribute to a husband, father and friend after his death November 21, 2007. Asked by anyone during the course of his day how he was doing, his reply was unfailingly, ‘I’m livin the dream’! His dream revolved around his passions; his family, friends, community and golf.

Brian died in a crash while flying his own plane home for the Thanksgiving Holiday with his son, Jason and a friend, Sean, from college on board. Both survived but suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. Hours from home in Philadelphia, both were patients for 34 and 18 days respectively in the Trauma ICU of a New York Hospital. Both families stayed in hotels during their lengthy recovery. The seeds of the Brian H. Early Foundation began to take root then:

‘Medicine can heal a broken body.
But, love inspires us to believe that it can be healed.’

As the Foundation’s mission is to help provide housing and support for patients and families who need to travel far from home for medical care due to injury, illness or disease, The 1st Annual Brian H. Early Foundation Golf Event and Reception is dedicated in support of HOSTS for HOSPITALS. The Event will take place in the summer of 2011, place and time to be determined.
