Who Can Stay

HOSTS for HOSPITALS host-home lodging is available for all patient-families without restriction to age, race, religion, family size, type of illness, length of stay, geographic origins or medical institution, provided that the guests:
- live so far from the hospital that communiting is difficult
- can take care of themselves at the host-home
- are unlikely to put the hosts at any risk in any manner
- are coming from out-of-town in association with receiving medical care, and
- have a permanent home to which to return.
A patient-family may include any individual who comes to town in support of the patient.
Patients may be guests as long as they can be independent, whether by themselves
or with the help of a support person.
