Other Resources

Listed below are some of the other organizations with which we collaborate, and, other useful resources.

Patient-Family Lodging Resources:

  • The AstraZeneca Hope Family Lodge
At the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge, we understand that undergoing treatment for cancer can be both financially and emotionally overwhelming. For many, treatment at Philadelphia’s medical centers provides the greatest hope, but requires that they be far from home, adding the additional burden of travel and lodging expenses. That is why the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in the Philadelphia area.
  • The Gift of Life Family House
Due to open in Fall 2010, the Gift of Life Family House is a new lodging facility to help address the critical need for lodging and support for transplant patients and their family members.

  • The National Association for Hospital Hospitality. Houses
The NAHHH promotes and assists not-for-profit programs that provide lodging and supportive services in a caring environment for families receiving medical care away from home. Their vision is to be the resource and voice for homes that help and heal by providing true hospitality in extraordinary ways to patients and families receiving medical care.
  • Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families of critically ill children receiving treatment at local hospitals. We operate two houses in Philadelphia serving a total of 62 families each night.

  • The Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey

Ronald McDonald House of SNJ provides a home-away-from-home to families of seriously ill and traumatically injured children who are being treated at nearby hospitals and operates 11 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms within pediatric units of hospitals across the Southern New Jersey region.
